Join us for our Fall Book Club where we will discuss Fresh Banana Leaves-Healing Indigenous Landscapes through Indigenous Science by Jessica Hernandez. Summer is the perfect time to get the book and read it on vacation, on the porch or stoop in the evening light, or on a rainy Sunday. Get a couple friends or colleagues to join you!
Hernandez, an Indigenous environmental scientist, breaks down why western conservationism isn't working--and offers Indigenous models informed by case studies, personal stories, and family histories that center the voices of Latin American women and land protectors.
