After a long summer and fall season, we need to take the time to reset and rejuvenate. Time to focus on the wellness of our minds and bodies and take a breath. Women in Horticulture is happy to partner with Jenkins Arboretum and generous volunteers to offer a daylong retreat in a beautiful setting. A full day of relaxation will be available with plenty of time for connecting with other women in horticulture or to enjoy the grounds!

    Featured Horticulturist

Introducing Cindy Newlander, our Featured Horticulturist for October.

Cindy is the Associate Director of Horticulture at Denver Botanic Gardens. Since 2002, she has led the Plant Records team and played a key role in developing the Gardens Navigator website. She is a co-author of the Timber Press field guide, "Wildflowers of the Rocky Mountain Region."

In our Q&A, Cindy sheds some light on collections management and plant record practices, as well as some great photos of the garden settings at DBG, a few of the incredible wildflowers in the surrounding wilderlands and in her own home garden. Check it out!
