Annual Celebration of Women in Horticulture

Join us at Ambler Arboretum for an author lecture and book signing. The Earth in Her Hands, by Jennifer Jewell, explores and celebrates how the plant world is improved by greater representation and diversity.

It chronicles how working in the world of plants is a more viable and creative career path for women than ever before and how the plant-work world is demonstrating greater social and environmental responsibility, in large part due to women’s contributions

    Featured Horticulturist

Introducing Jenna Bachman, our Featured Horticulturist for March.

Jenna is a professional gardener in the greater Philadelphia region whose experience blends her penchant for gritty field work with her love of detailed floral and container design compositions. Her pursuit of horticulture began with a deep curiosity about native plants, and has blossomed into a career in some of the country's diverse botanical treasure troves.

Check out "Jenna Bachman: For the Love of Plants" to read more about her evolution from Environmental Science to Horticulture beginning with a formative internship at Mt Cuba Center.
